Rigarls & Ford Bespoke Furniture Design is a newly established company. From our workshop in Hertfordshire, we produce handcrafted unique individual pieces, built with passion for the materials we use.
We offer a design and build process that is unique to each bespoke item, whether it’s furniture, art, or up-cycled creations. Whatever you would like made, we can design, produce, or simply give advice on all manner of objects.
We love using all types of materials — especially reclaimed wood and metal which can add a real story to the piece. If you have a damaged or unused item that you don’t wish to part with, we would be happy to give it a new lease of life.
Our philosophy is to work closely with our clients in creating bespoke pieces that add character to the home, office or workplace. We can design and build anything, from a small fitted drinks cabinet to large standalone furniture pieces. Our creations so far include kitchen tables with live edges (including resin river tables), steamer truck drinks cabinets, wall art, and TV units.

KITCHEN TABLE
The client commissioned a kitchen table for his Yorkshire cottage. The brief was to use reclaimed materials. This table was constructed out of three planks of London plane, retaining the live edge.

This wall art was a commission whereby the client had spotted a piece of art that was made up of driftwood. We found reclaimed oak which had been taken from the docks on the River Thames…
